1.) Bevor Du Urlaub weit weg machst,

so geh doch zur Armee!

Diene dort bestens Tag und Nacht,

zu Land, zur Luft, oder zur See!

 

2.) Bist zur Bereitschaft, schützt Demokratie

mit großer Marschband stehst Du da!

gibs Deiner Heimat Lebensgarantie

trotzt kraftvoll der Gefahr!

 

3.) Du bist der Held der Nachbarschaft,

schützt Du doch gern Dein Land!

Hältst dann des Friedens Anwartschaft,

kämpfst gern im Sumpf und Sand!

 

4.) Bevor Du Urlaub weit weg machst,

so geh doch zur Armee!

Diene dort bestens Tag und Nacht,

zu Land, zur Luft, oder zur See!

 

5.) Lächelnd seh ich Dein Gesicht,

stehst doch für Freiheit ein!

Fürchtest Deine Feinde nicht,

stehst doch für Alle ein!

 

6.) Raketen machen Dir nichts aus,

auch nicht Artillerie!

Du stehst voll Mut schon ganz früh auf,

und neigst nicht zum entfliehn!

 

7.) Bevor Du Urlaub weit weg machst,

so geh doch zur Armee!

Diene dort bestens Tag und Nacht,

zu Land, zur Luft, oder zur See!

 

8.) Im Dunklen schießt der Feind auf Dich,

siehst ihn mit Sichtgerät!

Die Waffe stark und schießt noch frisch,

hast Feinde längst erspäht!

 

9.) Dein Befehl sagt jetzt geh voran,

kämpf für Dein Bataillon!

Zeig , dass Du kraftvoll kämpfen kannst,

wie eines Gottes Sohn!

1.) Before you go on vacation far away,

then go to the army!

Serve there best day and night,

by land, by air, or by sea!

 

2.) Be prepared, protect democracy

You stand there with a big marching band!

give your homeland a guarantee of life

defies danger powerfully!

 

3.) You are the hero of the neighborhood,

You like protecting your country!

If you then hold the promise of peace,

you like fighting in the swamp and sand!

 

4.) Before you go on vacation far away,

then go to the army!

Serve there best day and night,

by land, by air, or by sea!

 

5.) I see your face smiling,

you stand up for freedom!

Don’t fear your enemies,

you stand up for everyone!

 

6.) Rockets don’t bother you,

not even artillery!

You get up very early full of courage,

and you don’t tend to escape!

 

7.) Before you go on vacation far away,

then go to the army!

Serve there best day and night,

by land, by air, or by sea!

 

8.) In the dark the enemy shoots at you,

see him with a viewing device!

The gun is strong and still shoots fresh,

you spotted enemies long ago!

 

9.) Your command now says go ahead,

fight for your battalion!

Show that you can fight powerfully,

like the son of God!

then go to the army!
